Something is soothing about new incense.

I love anything that makes my surroundings smell better, but I always feel like a candle doesn’t last as long as it should, and sometimes they do not have a smell that lingers. Therefore, I always find myself turning to incense as an acceptable alternative. I have a small apartment, and one stick can keep the place smelling nice all day long.

I never know where I’m going to find new incense, and I typically purchase from one of the small tobacco outlets in a nearby town; this time, I planned to look online. I decided to not know what scents I would be receiving, and I found the perfect pack of incense online. After a while, I find that the same fragrance can become grating on my sense, so I love to switch it up whenever I want. I also don’t want to spend a lot, so I look for a product that will never fall apart or constantly go out but also doesn’t drown my spending money.

I am taking the plunge and leaving my current job for a new one that I can do from my home office. It isn’t freelance work, but this is the kind of change I need to have happened in my life.

I read an article the other day that talked about switching lanes in your 30s, and I realized that I have hit many of the points brought up. Rather than continuing to loathe the hours I’m away from home, I’m going to start working on my next career move.

My First Surprise of 2022

I wasn’t planning on making any resolutions for this year because every year before this one has been an epic failure. In 2020 I had made decent progress, and then the pandemic hit, and all the goals I set went out the window.

While I would like to lose weight and become a healthier person, that was not something I had put high on the priority list. I assumed that if I became more active in general, my health would come up also. When I woke up this morning, I checked my email, like I always do, and was more than a little shocked to see that I had a receipt for a Noom membership. I signed up for the program about 9 months ago when I became enthusiastic about working out again, but I quickly lost interest. I knew a renewal was coming up. I just wasn’t sure of the date. Well, that date was today.

I suppose this means I should try and use it diligently. If I keep paying for the service, it makes no sense to let this opportunity pass me by.

Let’s Talk about CBD.

In the last few years CBD has started to gain popularity and it has garnered a lot of attention from the media. In 2018 CBD derived from Hemp was legalized at the federal level, although individual states still retain the right to criminalize CBD if they want to. I won’t go into the specifics, but I do recommend that you check local laws before purchasing CBD.

Medterra is a company that produces its products from Hemp plants so it’s a company I knew I could safely order from. I originally bought this lotion for my mother because she suffers from arthritis in her hands; but after hearing her success with it I bought it for myself. This stuff has been a lifesaver. I started using it on my lower back after a long day at work but one day while suffering from a migraine I used it on my forehead and the back of my neck. Almost instantly the pain was dulled. Ever since, at the first sign of a headache I use this and the migraine either does not appear, or the symptoms are significantly lessened.

This lotion goes on kind of like other joint pain over the counter topical ointments but it lacks the offensive odor and, at times, overwhelming cooling sensation. It absorbs quickly and it is not greasy feeling. This is a product I can see myself using long term. I will note that there is a higher strength of product should you feel like your pain is not being effectively managed. Alleviation of Symptoms will vary from person to person and not everyone is going to experience the same level of results.

One Side Note: They even have items that can be used on your pets. As our pets age they also suffer from joint ailments, digestive issues and pain, so CBD is a great way of helping manage a lot of the small problems.
